Who can participate in Hooplandia?
COME ONE COME ALL ,Hooplandia has a division for everyone! No matter, height or playing ability, grab your teammates and join the fun, June 23-25!
Please Note: This tournament is for children who are 8 years of age and younger, the tournament is open to players beginning at age 7.
When does 2023 Hooplandia registration close?
Registration closes Monday, June 19 at 11:59pm!
However, if you complete your paid team registration by Sunday, June 4 at 11:59pm each individual on your team will receive the following.
- 1 admission ticket to the 2023 Big E
- 1 admission ticket to a Connecticut Sun Game
- 1 $5 Dunkin' gift card
How many players can be on my team?
You may register your team with 3 players. However, a maximum of 4 players can be registered per team.
Please Note: No Player Adds/Changes will be accepted after 8:00 a.m on Friday, June 23.
Can I play on more than one team?
A player can play on multiple teams within the same bracket. Please be mindful that individuals playing on multiple teams could have multiple games at the same time. It is up to that individual to decide what game they will participate in.
When do games take place?
Games will take place Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25. On Friday, June 23 we will host Hooptacular, a community driven night of skills competitions, entertainment, food and so much more!
How will divisions and brackets be organized?
Teams will be divided into tournament divisions and brackets, according to its players’ ages or immediate upcoming school grades, heights, playing experience, and competition level, in accordance with the information on each team entry form. The
High School Elite Freshman and High School Elite Varsity divisions will not be bracketed according to height or experience.
Youth Divisions
8 & Under -(Free)
This division is for children who are 8 years of age and younger, the tournament is open to players beginning at age 7.
Entering Grade 4
This division is for children who are entering grades 3 & 4.
Entering Grade 6
This divisions is for children who are entering grades 5 & 6.
Entering Grade 8
This divisions is for children who are entering grades 7 & 8.
Please Note: A designated coach is required for all youth teams
Elite Divisions
High School Elite Freshman
All players must be entering grade 9 in the fall of 2023 to participate in this division. Teams will not be bracketed according to height or experience.
High School Elite Varsity
This division is for all incoming grades 10-12 who can bring their “A” game. Teams will not be bracketed according to height or experience.
College Elite
Are you are going to be playing basketball at the collegiate level? If yes,this division is for you and your teammates.
Open Elite
Post college player, thinking you still have what it takes? Register for this division for a chance to showcase your skills.
