Where to Eat and Stay While You Play

The Northeast’s Ultimate 3x3 Basketball Tourney + Festival is a premiere event unlike anything east of the Mississippi. That’s why Hooplandia is a destination, and teams travel from all over to play on its courts.

Tourists who aren’t attuned to Western Mass. culture like the locals may not know where to eat and stay with their team. That is why the Greater Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (GSCVB) has grown ExploreWesternMass.com as an authority on where to learn, lodge and eat at prices that cannot be beaten. To be sure you are making the most of the weekend, there is no better way than to ask a townie.

Some suggested hotels in Greater Springfield include:

  • Hampton Inn & Suites, West Springfield or Springfield, Mass.
  • Hilton Garden Inn, Springfield, Mass.
  • La Quinta Inn & Suites, Springfield, Mass.
  • Courtyard by Marriott, West Springfield, Mass.
  • Best Western, West Springfield, Mass.
  • Candlewood Suites, West Springfield, Mass.
  • Sheraton Springfield: Monarch Place Hotel, Springfield, Mass.
  • Comfort Inn & Suites, West Springfield, Mass.

The GSCVB is a not-for-profit organization that collaboratively leads promotion and development for Western Mass. by showcasing it as the compelling visitor destination it is. Our combined goal is to grow tourism and ensure that every visitor’s first impression is a great one.

It is important to fuel up for the big game, too! We have lots of vendors prepared to sate your hunger and slake your thirst in between games, but what about after hours?

Hooplandia’s registration sponsor is Hot Table, who is generously supplying all early registrants with gift cards through our 3-Point Perks system, now through March 10.

Like basketball, Hot Table was born in Springfield, Mass. Founded in 2007 by brothers John and Chris DeVoie and restauranteur Don Watroba, the business was inspired by small eateries in Italy called Tavola Calda, which translates to “Hot Table.” Their goal at the time was simple; to make delicious, pressed sandwiches, made to order, and served in a way that makes customers and employees feel valued. Yet that mission has grown to include charitable giving, such as donating more than $73,000 to local food banks and perpetuating community events, like Hooplandia.

Their diverse menu options allow patrons to pick countless ingredients and create every sandwich under the sun, just the way you like it. Pack your plate with protein and carbohydrates, hot off the press, before the big game when you order at Hot Table.

A national treasure trove of fun
