Mark your calendars! The Hooplandia street team is rolling out to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2025 Army National Guard Hoophall Classic and the 2025 Army National Guard Hoophall Invitational, presented by Spalding, January 16-20 in Springfield, Mass.
The street team’s schedule has been jam-packed with road stops and shot blocks throughout the last few weeks. Some highlights for the team were Hooplandia Event Coordinator, Sam Roberts, tabling at the Pioneer Valley Tip-Off at UMass Amherst’s Mullins Center, and Sales intern, Brian Geitner, networking at the 2024 Invesco QQQ Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
Now, the street team is gearing up for one of the nation’s most highly anticipated basketball events of the year: Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s Hoophall Classic. Currently entering its 23rd year, this showcase features the top high school players and teams from across the country. The event is held over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend at Springfield College’s historic Blake Arena. This prestigious event has served as a launching pad for NBA First Round Draft Picks, College All-Americans, McDonald’s All-Americans and NBA Champions and All-Stars.
The Hooplandia street team will be on site at Blake Arena, doling out merchandise, answering questions and pumping up the crowd. Stop by and spin to win swag of your own!
This is a must-see weekend, so ESPN will be returning as the event’s broadcast partner to provide national coverage for nine matchups across Sunday and Monday’s schedules. Two of these matchups will be available on ESPN2, five on ESPNU and two on ESPN+. You can also tune in live at BallerTV.com. To witness the action up close, purchase your tickets today at Hoophall.com.
Similar to the Classic, the 2025 Army National Guard Hoophall Invitational features top boys and girls high school players, but this group is strictly the best of the Northeast. These matchups take place across seven Springfield schools, but you can catch the Hooplandia team and all their fanfare at Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical Academy, Springfield Central High School and Springfield International Charter School.
Though the street team will not be in attendance, the annual Jr. Hoophall Championships, brought to you by Eastbay, will be held in conjunction with the 2025 Army National Guard Hoophall Classic and Invitational on Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. This tournament is open to boys teams, age divisions 8U-14U, and it is a great gateway into the basketball scene.
