There are numerous positions available throughout the fun-filled weekend, and all volunteers receive numerous perks, including but not exclusive to: a Hooplandia tee shirt, free event parking during Hooplandia, one ticket to The Big E 2025 and a meal voucher, snacks and beverages throughout volunteer shifts.

Contest Score & Timekeepers

Individuals with basic basketball knowledge and scorekeeping abilities are needed to keep score during three-point competitions and other face-offs, collect score sheets, direct attendees and otherwise assist sport courts.

Fan Activity Facilitators

Hands-on activity stations are positioned throughout the facility so fans can create art to show their basketball pride. Volunteers in this role will likely get their hands messy with paint and other art supplies! In addition to instructing crafts, fan activity facilitators must keep their stations neat, organized and assist with cleanup as needed.

Rebounders

Volunteers are expected to monitor active basketballs and rebound them to streamline games. They may be asked to reset basketball racks, restock bins, hand out, monitor and collect balls.

Score Sheet Runners

No experience is necessary for this role, just a sense of urgency and some fast feet! Score sheet runners will be assigned to courts and responsible for collecting score sheets from the score table. These individuals ensure that sheets are filled out correctly before dropping them off at Hooplandia’s central score sheet collection base.

Team Check-in

This fast-paced station is a first point of contact as attendees arrive. Volunteers distribute swag bags, troubleshoot registration issues and ensure that everyone’s experience begins with a welcoming disposition.

Water & Equipment Runners

Volunteers remain at the ready during their shift, prepared to deliver water to officials, exchange equipment, deliver score sheets and more. This is a vital role that ensures the weekend runs without a hitch!
